The Spaceman represents imagination, wonder, and possibilities. When that first photo of Earth taken from space came back, it profoundly altered the way we see ourselves in the universe. Each space shuttle launch inspired new frontiers in technology and how we interact. The spaceman gave us a new perspective on the tiny little blue planet that was the limit of everything we know.
Forty seven years ago we landed a spaceman on the moon, and to celebrate that spirit and the long forgotten space shuttle launches, I’m doing a limited edition run of the Boonji Spaceman sculptures. There will be only 47 sculptures made. Each one is unique and hand crafted, each design meticulously chosen by me. Each spaceman is 16” high and weigh around 12 lbs. and it comes in an amazing display box, also unique.
They are beyond cool, and when they officially launch at Art Basel in Miami this year it will be a big hit.
